Moving!

Fingers crossed I do this right and it works! I have moved to Edublogs so click here to see my site.

I need a Favour!

May 23, 2008

I’ve been thinking about next year a lot now that I have time on my hands. I learned a lot with P7V especially with regards to using ICT for learning. I’d really like to have a class blog next year. I’m not ready to manage individual blogs but I do feel I’m ready for the challenge of one for the whole class.

I’d really like some advice from people who have contributed to a class blog (nudge nudge 7V!). I’d like to know the following:

What are the good bits of a class blog?

Is there anything that should be avoided when having a class blog?

Although it is clearly successful with P7, would it work for children further down the school?

Hopefully someone will have some insight! ;)

Next Year

May 17, 2008

I got a letter through the door today from the GTC (General Teaching Council). If you want to be a teacher you have to be part of this organisation. They are the ones that sort out where all the new teachers will be going for their first year. Anyway, the letter said that I will be at a school within Falkirk Council so I’m really happy.

I’m really looking forward to next year but it hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’m half expecting to go back to uni after the summer but that’s not the case! I can’t wait until I find out what school I’m going to. The letter said that we should hear within the next couple of weeks.

 Scary stuff! :)

FINISHED!

May 12, 2008

I can’t believe it, I’m finally finished! The only thing I might have to do is resit something but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that that won’t happen!

It’s a very strange feeling to be finished. I think I may still be in denial as I keep forgetting I’m not going back to Uni next year. I’ll have a real job! Very scary to not be a student any more but I can’t wait, I’m so excited! :D

 WOOOOHOOOO!

Major Project

April 10, 2008

Still working on my major project; it’s rightly named as it is definitely a MAJOR project. I’ve been working on it for about a year now and it just seems never ending. It’s due in on the 29th April so I won’t have to look at it for much longer. Phew!

What a wonderful way to spend the Easter holidays. However, I’m sure everyone feels the same!

Just been looking at P7V’s new Wikis and they’re fab! What a great idea to have a space for people’s questions and to provide tips for certain subjects. They’re very enterprising Mrs V ;) ! It looks like they are being used well, I was having a look through all the questions. If I’m ever having a fashion crisis I’ll know who to turn to! ;)

Hope everyone’s enjoying their holidays and all the lovely sunshine! Haha, unlikely, can’t believe it’s spring and it’s still snowing and raining!

Anyway, keep smiling and wishing for summer (I know I am!) :)

Oh no!

April 3, 2008

I wrote a big post before this one but it hasn’t appeared! Don’t know what I did wrong!

Anyway, I’m working on my assignments just now, it’s so much fun! ;) I have 2 to do plus my major project. The one  I am working on just now is all about my last placement at cshore and the ways in which I will take my learning forward into next year. I am focusing on 4 main areas, classroom management, ICT, assessment and after school clubs. It has been made a lot more interesting however, as P7V agreed to let me quote from their blogs which I was really pleased about!

Anyway, better get back to work :(

Catch up

April 2, 2008

Thanks!

March 20, 2008

Today was quite a strange day, I felt a bit lost not getting up and than heading to Carronshore Primary!

Thank you everyone for yesterday afternoon. It was great although very emotional! :)

I had a great time with you all and I have to say that it was definitely my faviourite placement out of the 5 I have completed during my course. This was obviously due to Mrs Vass and all of 7V.

Hope you all enjoyed the sweets!

 :D

Just a Post!

March 15, 2008

Well…after 9 1/2 weeks I only have 3 more days in Primary 7V! It’s been so much fun and I’ve learned so much from everyone in the class! Thanks to you all for a fantastic time!

Before joining 7V I would never have dreamed of having a blog but it’s been great. I know I haven’t written many posts, as I have not had the time, but I’ve loved reading everyone elses. It has allowed me to get to know the class really well.

This week was a really funny week. Wednesday was horrible and then Thursday was really strange as well. It reminded me of things when I was at school. I hope it made everyone realise how much effort is put into making each day at school as enjoyable as possible!

I’ve just been on my google reader and Russell’s post made me laugh. If I knew how to put a link to it I would!

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the WW2 presentations on Monday!

This was a very random post but nevermind!

 :)

Blog Reflection

February 19, 2008

I’ve just looked back at my first ever blog post and I remembered how unsure I felt when I was writing it! It’s really strange because I had never thought of having ablog before and now I have one I enjoy writing on it.

It’s strange to think that only a couple of months ago I was really nervous about knowing what to write and now I just write about anything I fancy.

Does anyone else feel this way? That you used to be really unsure of what to write and now you’re not?

 Hmmmmm!

p.s. really nervous about tomorrow! :(
